A villa with immense style and character, presided over by charming, ex-pat owners.
A house of 3 moods, its frontage is that of a Portuguese mansion built in1929. Behind this stands an older hindoo house leading to a delightful garden at the rear, featuring a self-contained cottage, a 12m swimming pool, dining and sunbathing areas.
Seven double bedrooms with bathrooms can accommodate14 guests in comfort and some rooms will easily take cots or small extra beds. Each of the rooms has its own identity, imagnatively designed by your hosts.
Host Simon has a lively sense of humour and describes their cuisine as ‘eclectic’. I think this means you can expect or order pretty well anything available locally. Continental breakfast with delicious, fresh breads and preserves is complimentary. Anything more substantial is available for the asking.
The villa is happily far from the hippy and now, notorious, beaches of flower-power history but they are within driving distance if you’re curious. Comfortable within its village setting, there are many activities within easy reach, such as scuba diving, fishing, shopping, river trips, clay pigeon shooting, elephant rides and more.

- A true secret! Tranquility personified and yet just a short drive to Goa's lively nightlife
- Delightful hosts witha wonderful sense of humour
|
- The bedrooms are very trendy but the mattresses in Ooty and Madras are a little on the thin side. Light sleepers beware or be choosy on your room.
