Built in the Dutch style 300 years ago, Old Harbour House was the first hotel for early traders and sea farers in Fort Cochin. Later it became home to employees of English Tea Broking firms until it lapsed into disuse. Its current owners recognised the possibilities encased in the charm and grandeur remaining, so after extensive, sympathetic renovation, the beautiful façade and spacious interior were completed with modern facilities to offer 13 rooms, an Ayurvedic spa and renowned restaurant.
Some of the bedrooms look onto the famous historic Chinese fishing nets and out to the ocean beyond, others onto the peaceful courtyard, with its fountain cooling the air around.
After following the walking trail around Cochin, taking in the flavour and sights of the historic port, relax here in the pretty gardens and cool off in the swimming pool. A permanent stage is the setting for occasional cultural performances in the cooler evenings.

Lows |
- In the heart of the harbour, if chinese nets at sunset is your want.
- A large swimming pool which is a rareity in the Fort.
- Very spacious rooms and tastefully furnished
|
- The staff and service sadly don't match the style of the hotel design
