Perched comfortably on a hill top beneath the towering mountain range of Kanchenjunga, this idyllic plantation house has been restored into a wonderfully cosy and peaceful place to stay. Established in 1860, it remains a working tea estate, in fact the only on in India with guest accommodation.
The clean mountain air, warm sun in usually cloudless skies draws you out to admire the acres of beautiful forest. Trek, fish in the two snow-fed rivers sweeping through the estate, or picnic on the sandy banks.
Explore in the 4WD at the guests’ disposal, enjoy the company and knowledge of he resident guide/naturalist, or spread your wings further and journey into nearby Darjeeling or Sikkim.
Just 3 suites and 3 rooms are comfortably and attractively furnished. Lounge on the veranda, watching and listening to the variety of colourful birds and watch the distant ice caps turn rosy pink at sun set.
